Cambridge Pest Control is a booking line. It is not a pest control company, and it is not a directory that sells your enquiry to a list of bidders. It connects to one local, licensed pest control company working across the city — Galt's riverside century homes and downtown, Preston's post-war streets, Hespeler's mill housing and the new subdivisions to the north, Blair, the Hespeler Road commercial strip and the industrial parks along the 401 — plus Ayr, Branchton and the farm properties across North Dumfries.

Pest control attracts a particular kind of selling. A price over the phone for a problem nobody has seen. A spray-and-leave visit with no inspection, no follow-up and no answer to where the mice are getting in. Foam sprayed into a rubble foundation and called sealing. A yearly contract sold for a single wasp nest. A restaurant program that is a monthly invoice and nothing an inspector can read. A treatment for mice when the noise in the attic was a raccoon. Anyone who has dealt with pests in an old Galt house or a restaurant kitchen will recognise at least one of those.

The point of this site is a straight line to a company that inspects before it treats, tells you what the pest actually is, puts the plan and the preparation list in writing, uses registered products at the label rate, schedules the follow-up as part of the job, leaves documentation a health inspector can read, and says plainly when the problem is a different trade or does not need a program at all.

What licensed means here

Pest control is a licensed trade in Ontario. Anyone applying pesticides for hire must hold the applicable exterminator licence under the province's pesticide legislation, and the company this line connects you to holds it. Technicians can show the licence on request, and you should ask — of us and of anyone else who quotes you. The Ontario government's pesticides page explains the licensing and the province's cosmetic pesticide rules. This site does not publish licence numbers; the card in the technician's hand is the proof.

What we will not do: publish reviews we do not have, invent a rating or a star count, quote a fixed price on a website, claim a certification for any product brand, or sell your phone number. This site is new. It says what it can do and nothing more.

What the company handles

• Commercial programs for restaurants, bars, grocery, hotels, food plants, warehouses and apartment buildings, with mapped stations, logged visits and audit-ready reports

What it does not handle

This site covers insects and rodents. Wildlife — raccoons, squirrels, bats, skunks and birds — is a different trade with different rules and is not covered, and you are told at the inspection if that is what you have. Termites are not treated. Honey bees are not killed; a swarm or a colony goes to a beekeeper. Repairs that the pests have made necessary — masonry on a rubble foundation, a rotted sill or porch post, grading and drainage — are other trades. Tenant and landlord responsibilities are set out by the Landlord and Tenant Board, food premises are inspected by Region of Waterloo Public Health, property standards complaints go through the City of Cambridge, and anyone working in your home or business should be able to show WSIB coverage and liability insurance. You are told when a job belongs to someone else rather than sold something that will not fix it.

How this works

When you call 226-895-0454 or send the form, your details go straight to the pest control company's office. They arrange an inspection, confirm what the pest is and where it is coming from, then put the treatment plan, the preparation list and the follow-up schedule in writing before anything is applied. For a business, the program, the visit frequency and the reporting are set out the same way. The work is done under their own Ontario exterminator licence and insurance. Your information is not sold, not shared with a list of competing companies, and there is no markup added to your bill for the introduction.

What we won't do

• Publish reviews we didn't earn. When we have them, they'll be real ones with names.
• Quote a firm price before someone has seen the job.
• Send anyone into your property who we would not have in our own.
